We see in the Gospels the love Christ has for the sick. In the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, we celebrate Christ’s healing presence among us. Not only is this sacrament for the dying, but it is available for anyone who is physically or spiritually sick, as well as anyone who has an upcoming surgery.

Twice a year (Advent and Lent) communal celebrations of this sacrament take place in the church. On the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes (February 11th) a Mass of Anointing is celebrated for the sick, elderly and homebound.
