KEEPING A HOLY LENT
ASH WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5
- Masses at 7am, 9am, 12pm, 7pm
- Includes distribution of Ashes
- Rice Bowls will be distributed
LENTEN ALMSGIVING
- Our Lenten Almsgiving will be directed to our twin parish and school in Haiti. You will find a display with envelopes for your donations.
RICE BOWLS
- We are asking each household, as part of your Lenten journey, to fill the Rice Bowls through sacrificial gifts. With your support every year, and through the work and mission of Catholic Relief Services, the Catholic community in the U.S. assists more than 100 million of the world’s poorest people. Rice Bowls will be collected on Holy Thursday at the Mass of the Last Supper.
FASTING & ABSTINENCE DURING LENT
- Fasting is to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday by all Catholics between 18-59 years. On days of fasting, one full meal is allowed. Two smaller meals may be taken according to one’s needs. Eating between meals is not permitted, but liquids are allowed.
- Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years and older. Ash Wednesday, all Fridays of Lent, and Good Friday are days of abstinence.
RECONCILIATION SERVICE
- Wednesday, April 9, 6:30pm
- A number of priests will be available for individual Confession
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
- Fridays during Lent at 7pm
- March 7, 14, 21 (family friendly), 28; April 4 and 11 (family friendly)
- Living Stations of the Cross April 4 in the Church presented by the schoolchildren
- Living Stations of the Cross April 16 in the Conmy Center presented by the 8th grade students
DAILY MASSES DURING LENT
- Mon through Fri at 9am
- Mon and Wed at 12pm (Mar 10 – Apr 16)
FISH FRY
- Fridays 4:30-7pm
- March 7, 14, 21, 28; April 4, 11
- Adults $14; Children $6
- All proceeds benefit our Youth Ministry summer Camps for Middle & High School students
